Hey everyone! For those of you who know me, you know that I like to get on my soap box and talk about project management techniques for IM. I feel a lot of the time the #1 cause of failure for people in IM is the lack of process (myself included).

A while back I created a little desktop app that let’s me map out my network of backlinks and PBN’s so I can see them on a visual diagram. I wanted to create a process where I can see what changes I made to my backlink and PBN network, and how it affected my rank. There is a saying in project management – “Any process that is measured, can be improved.”

I thought it would be easiest if I created a short video to explain my software and how to use it:

Please keep in mind I am giving this away for free. I will add features if enough people request them, but be patient. I would like to track any bugs, so if you encounter any while using it, send me a PM and I will see if I can find the cause. One thing I definitely want to add in the future is integration with Ahrefs, so it can autopopulate backlinks. I did add the ability to check for updates with Oauth, so it should check automatically for future improvements.

Also, feel free to share this anywhere else on the interwebz, but please don’t try and profit from my hard work. I really hope this makes a difference in our little IM community here and helps people learn a bit more about project management. Again, this is just a little tool I made for myself, so please don’t be upset if it doesn’t have all of the features you would want.

Installation directions:

After downloading the files, open the downloaded folder. Then go to Linkmap -> Application Files -> LinkmapV1004 -> Linkmap.exe. I still can’t figure out why the installer isn’t working, but this is my first desktop application. I’ll figure it out when I have time. For now this is the workaround.
